So far, the Fish Trek database contains references of 44 different species with original tagging records. In contrast, the data on recovered tags submitted only covers 20 fish species, mostly representing edible fish. The majority of recovered tags were originally implanted into pikeperch, silver eel, sea trout, and brown trout. In contrast, tagged salmon, catfish, zope and white bream have each just been reported only once so far.
